Ciclovia is a public event held each year in New Brunswick, NJ where the city’s streets are closed for health and cultural activities. This open streets initiative encourages residents to become more physically active in their lives by allowing them to bike, run, skate, dance, exercise and play. We integrated their brand into a series of communications and event signage that increases the event’s visibility and presence.
Vibrant, clear, easy to use flyers were distributed throughout the city of New Brunswick to ensure residents knew where and how the event was taking place. Bold typography and colors were selected to capture people's attention. In addition, this design approach was utilized for digital advertising.
A critical aspect of this street festival was ensuring the safety of all who participated. Street level signage was placed throughout the designated streets to inform and reinforce safety rules for the benefit of all.
Large environmental banners were designed and placed on main avenues throughout the city to heighten the visibility of Ciclovia.
